Interested in booking me for a photoshoot, but not sure how to start or the process? The process is quite simple. Let me provide a short summary.
First a caveat …. let’s get this out of the way. As a professional photographer, if you are contacting me about a photoshoot I assume you are interested in or want to enquire about hiring me. That means this is a paid photoshoot. You will be paying me for my photography services. I often do “collaboration” or TFP (trade for print) photoshoots, but those are typically arranged by me. I get paid for my services…you know, like a plumber or a electrician.
I’ve found the process easiest to handle it the following manner:
Step 1 - reach out to me via email, DM or text message indicating an interest in scheduling a photoshoot or enquiring about my rates. Please let me know what type of photoshoot you are interested in.
Step 2 - Review my rates. I have my rates on this website. However, if requested and if we agree to a photoshoot I will email the rates on a PDF document. Therefore, I will ask for your email address. I will ask you what style of photoshoot you are interested in if you didn’t tell me during the initial contact.
Step 3 - After reviewing my rates if you are still interested then let me know.
Step 4 - I will follow-up to discuss details confirming: a) type of photoshoot (more on this below), b) pricing package, and c) potential dates. I may also ask for any “inspiration” photos if you have a concept already in mind.
Step 5 - Once we agree to details on Step 4 I will create a “call sheet” and a “mood board”. We will also agree what fashion / clothing needs to be arranged or brought to the studio.
Step 6 - Do the photoshoot. Payment is due on the date of the photoshoot.
Step 7 - After the photoshoot I will send you a “proof sheet” of images to select that I will edit. The number of edits are based on the price package selected.
Step 8 - Once the selected images are edited I will send the final images via Dropbox
That’s about it. Photoshoots can several months in advance between 11am-6pm any day of the week. The most typical starting time is 2pm, but times are completely flexible.

Digital campaigns & content / e-commerce / lookbooks
Magazine submissions
The studio is located in Carmel, IN but can be booked for location / non-studio work. Details can be discussed during Step 4.
